ASSASSIN

An assassin is a deadly killer. It is more than likely that the individual served with the military or as a special agent before using his ‘gift’ to make some serious money. An assassin is hired to kill single targets for money. They are highly trained with the sniper rifle as well as most firearms. They usually operate alone or as part of a collective for an agency or a war lord.

These hired killers have a range of tactics; taking someone out from a long range is preferred but not always available; close quarter killings with a silenced weapon in the dead of the night is another preferred method. The secret to a job well done is when the target is killed and there are no witnesses or evidence that the assassin was even there!

CAPTAIN MEGATON

The good Captain Megaton began life as Rickard "Ricky" Faulkner, a typical mid-western American kid, going to college on a football scholarship before entering the Army during the 1950’s. With good enough grades he was accepted into Officer Candidate School and rose through the ranks to Captain during the early Cold War. When he joined Army Research he was part of a program researching advanced nuclear science and as misfortune would have it he was caught in a terrible accident; the explosion took out the underground lab and everyone in it. The only survivor was Captain Faulkner, who walked out of the ruin seemingly unscathed and encased in a green glow.

Soon enough, the Army found a use for Captain Faulkner. Renaming him Captain Megaton he became a poster boy for American strength-at-arms. He fought America’s enemies both at home and abroad, most notably Professor Carnage who quickly became Captain Megaton’s most infamous nemesis; the two would fight regularly fight tremendous battles for almost twenty years. When the Cold War ended with the fall of the USSR and the Berlin Wall, Captain Megaton was all but discarded by the United States government; while he was still quite the powerhouse, the anti-nuclear sentiment spreading across the globe made him unpopular.

At something of a loss and with his wife of thirty years, his college sweetheart Rosie, diagnosed with cancer, Captain Megaton fell into a deep depression. It would take a combined effort from many of his allies, notably his long-time friend Tharsus the Beast, and the formation of the League of Guardians to bring him back from the brink. As leader of the League, Captain Megaton soon re-established himself as a crusader for justice and peace and did so for another twenty years. When the new millennium approached, with many of his former allies retired or dead, his arch-nemesis Professor Carnage imprisoned in crystal on Titan and a new breed of Hero having established themselves the aging Captain Megaton retired to a life of peace and quiet in Florida. There he lives to this day, happy to relive his younger years and give advice to aspiring Heroes should they ask him of it. His memoirs have been on the worldwide bestseller list for five years running.

This sheet represents Captain Megaton in his younger days of glory during the Cold War, when he first burst onto the world scene as a genuine American Hero.
